Explore the city of Shimla, the terminus of the Kalka to Shimla railway in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. It’s well known for the Lakkar Bazaar, where you can purchase wooden toys and handicrafts and also the Mall, a centre for handicrafts of all kinds.

Day 6-8 Pragpur

Peek into this heritage village in the heart of Himachal Pradesh with its cobbled streets and beautiful architecture built by prosperous colonial Portuguese, Rajput, and Kangra merchants in the 19th Century.

Day 9-11 Amritsar

Be awed by the fabulous and sacred Golden Temple, the Sikh religion’s holiest complex. Its kitchen feeds up to 100000 people each day regardless of their religion. Bathe in the Amrit Sarovar Lake for a complete spiritual experience in this religiously rich town.

Day 12-14 Mussoorie

Start your adventure in the foothills of the Himalayas at the hillstation of Mussoorie, which takes its name from the shrubs that can be found growing nearby. Enjoy a cable car excursion up Gun Hill, the second highest peak in the area, but try to pick a clear day so that the incredible summit views aren’t obscured by mist.
