Ramp up the romance with a visit to the City of Love. Its sights are world class: the iconic Eiffel Tower, the busy Champs- Élysées, Notre dame and Sacre Coeur cathedrals and its many renowned museums, galleries and department stores. Nearby, the Palace of Versailles offers a glimpse into the workings of the 17th century Royal Court, an opulent château fit for a King – for a while, at least.

Travel across the Seine River to the houses built on the old bridge at Vernon, scene that has been painted by thousands of painters including, most famously, Claude Monet, whose house you can explore while visiting this city. While you are in Vernon explore its gothic church, 12th Century castle, fine arts museum and the famous old mill.

Tour the castle where Joan of Arc was tried for heresy before walking down the cobblestone pathways to find the city’s many Gothic churches. This port city lies on the River Seine and is often dubbed Normandy’s historic and gastronomic capital.
