Formerly part of the Radisson family, the Alcron recently became part of the Almanac hotel group. Built in 1932, it’s easy to see the Art Deco influences that shaped the architecture and style of this historic hotel. Maria Vafiadis and her design team preserved this heritage when the property was renovated. The Alcron is a sizeable hotel with 204 rooms and suites. In the past, it attracted the rich and famous, among them Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin. Today, it still appeals to a similarly wealthy and selective clientele who appreciate the quality and attention to detail.
The hotel offers relaxed cooking classes, helped in part by the unlimited Prosecco that flows freely throughout the lesson. Under the watchful eye of chef Roman Paulus, learn how to cook some of the hotel’s signature dishes and have a behind the scenes glimpse at its La Rotonde restaurant.
